Starting off 2023 on a healthy note!
I love making smoothies, especially when I'm trying to get more nutrients into every meal.
I decided to switch it up and make a smoothie bowl for breakfast.
Ingredients:
For smoothie bowl base:
1/2 cup frozen tropical fruit mix: peach, mango, strawberry, and pineapple. I get mine from Costco.
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
A few handfuls of spinach (your smoothie bowl base will be green FYI!)
1/2 cup coconut milk (or add more as needed)
1-2 Tablespoons of Flaxseed

Blend above until it forms little dots of the mixture. Think "Dipndots" ice cream consistency.
Then add your desired liquid. I use coconut milk but you can use whatever you want!
Blend again until it becomes like soft serve consistency. You want the texture to still be thick.
Once its blended how you want, pour it into your bowl.
Toppings:
Add whatever toppings you'd like!
For mine I added half a banana, a few strawberries, coconut flakes, and chia seeds.
But you can add a nut butter, any fruit you want, honey, granola. There are endless possibilities!
