How to pack for a winter trip Aspen, Colorado

This stunning mountain town is known for its world-class skiing, luxurious resorts, and beautiful natural surroundings. Whether you're hitting the slopes or exploring the town, packing the right gear and clothing will make all the difference in your comfort and enjoyment of the trip. In this post, we'll cover everything you need to know about what to pack for Aspen, from ski gear and warm clothing to practical items and accessories. These are my tips and ideas for what to pack for a winter trip to Aspen/ Snowmass for someone who does not ski. So grab your suitcase and get ready to pack like a pro!

Before you start packing: Check the weather report!

This is a no-brainer! Yes, the weather can change quickly, but it's a good idea to get an idea of what the weather will be like.

In Colorado, it can snow up until May. The weather also changes very quickly. It can be warm and sunny one minute and then starts snowing the next. So get a good idea of what weather you will be experiencing. We will be traveling in March and it looks like the average temperature while we're there is in the low to mid 40's.

What to wear in Aspen

Aspen has a reputation for being a very fashionable town, so I hope this packing list helps you look and feel cute and like you blend in with the other snow bunnies! Here are some ideas for pieces you can add to your wardrobe before you go! And they are perfect for Après-Ski, hanging out around town, or going to one of the many restaurants.

I love a simple black and white look - especially for winter! Each item has it's own link if you want to shop!

If I was going to ski, this is what I would wear:

I tried skiing my first year in Colorado and let's just say, it didn't go so well. I don't think skiing is for me, especially trying to learn over the age of 30. But, my husband loves snowboarding and I have a lot of friends who love it too. So if you do want some suggestions for what to wear, here you go! You want to stay warm but also be able to move. And why not look cute while doing so, right?

I guess I also have some favorite colors when it comes to my ski stuff! I do have the blue ski pants and the under armour leggings and they are super comfy! I recommend them. And those leggings with little ski designs are adorable! I want to get them just to wear around the house!

My favorite things I would wear in Aspen:

Can't forget about shoes, accessories, and a bathing suit for the hot tub after a long day on the slopes!

You can't go wrong with any of these boots when you're walking around in the snow. And a cute bathing suit for the hot tub would be the perfect way to end the day!

Here are some items you will want to pack for your skin - do not forget SPF!

If you take any advice from this, you must wear SPF! With the high elevation and dry air, you want to protect your skin and keep it moisturized. Don't forget your lips either!

If you go to Aspen, let me know if you wore anything I suggested! And stay tuned for my posts about everything I did in Aspen! And I'll even get Sean to give his review on the ski resorts in the area.
