Located only a few minutes from the Reno/Tahoe airport, The Element Reno Experience District hotel (Element RED) is a great alternative to the large casino-hotels around Reno if you want a more boutique hotel feel with all the amenities. The hotel opened in December 2022 and has everything you need (and more) for a great hotel experience. For a brand new hotel, it did not feel like it. The staff was very accommodating and every time we needed something or had a question, they were helpful and responded quickly.

The Rooms
This hotel offers more than your average hotel. They have kitchenettes in each room where you can cook your own food and they provide a larger refrigerator to store food in case you don't want to eat at restaurants for your meals. They also provide cooking equipment and utensils.
All the rooms, along with the entire hotel itself, is smoke free. This is a nice change from the big casino hotels in the area that smell like smoke the second you walk inside.
The rooms vary from standard rooms, studios, one-bedrooms or executive suites, depending on what you want.
All rooms are fur-baby friendly so you can bring your pets at no extra charge!
The bed was extremely comfortable! I slept great! They have their signature Westin "Heavenly" beds.
The Amenities
If you are looking for a casino at your hotel- this is not the hotel for you. But if you want a more relaxed, boutique-feel hotel with great amenities, this is for you!
The Element RED has daily free breakfast that isn't just cereal and pastries like most hotel continental breakfasts. There was a chef daily making pancakes to order and also prepared fresh eggs. They also have free coffee and tea all day in their lobby area along with this delicious honeydew/ orange "spa water" that I loved and was served all day in the lobby as well.
There is an outdoor rooftop pool and hot tub with a view of the mountains and cabanas. We did use the hot tub in the snow which was a fun experience!
Some of the other amenities include: fitness center open 24/7, do-it-yourself laundry and dry cleaning services, and restaurant on site from 4-7pm daily. There is a parking lot on site for $10 a day fee and it's a very short walk to the front door.
Hotel information
I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the Reno/ Tahoe area. Their rates average between $130-$300 depending on the day of your stay and what room you choose. They are part of the Marriott Bonvoy/ Westin properties so you can get or use your points when staying here.
(I was not compensated at all for this blog post - I just want to help spread the word about this great new hotel)
Let me know if you stay here yourself
