Why I've been using acupuncture lately, and why you should too!

I've been a fan of acupuncture for about 7 years now, but have only recently started going more consistently. If you don't know, acupuncture is a Chinese medical treatment where small needles are placed at various points on the body. Many people fear the pain of needles. But as someone who also hates needles, I've never had a problem with the acupuncture needles. They are so tiny you barely feel them.

Do you suffer from any of the following?

"Back pain, sport injuries, anxiety, Fertility Issues (Infertility), Women’s Disorders and side-effects of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine can also be used to treat pain, headaches, digestive issues, neurological disorders, mental/emotional disorders like depression and anxiety, immune system issues, stress and general well-being." - Quote from https://www.inspired-wellness.com/

I believe acupuncture lessened my Vertigo episodes in 2015.

I was diagnosed with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in 2012 after I fainted at my first job out of college. Talk about a great first impression! After trying various treatments, a few years later I decided to try acupuncture. After only a few treatments, I have not had any severe vertigo attacks since. Every once in awhile I will feel dizzy for a few seconds, but nothing as bad as it used to be.

Acupuncture for Fertility

If you've read my previous blog post about my struggles with #infertility (linked here if you haven't read it yet) you'll know that I've been looking for any non-surgical treatment to help.

I have been doing a lot of research on the topic and I have linked some resources below if you want to do research for yourself as well.

Acupuncture has been known to help with increasing blood flow to the uterus, regulating your menstrual cycle, improve sperm count in men, and relieving stress.

What have I experienced since starting treatment in December, 2022?

We'll see if this treatment will help me in terms of fertility, but if anything, I have already noticed less stress and more energy in my life after only a few sessions. I have also noticed less menstrual cramps and more manageable cycles overall.

The doctor I see is Candace Canerdy @ccanerdy on Instagram

I'd love to hear your experience with acupuncture! Let me know! And I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.
